Our Classes

The Vanaver Caravan offers a schedule of year round classes for children and teens. During the school year we offer classes via our Dance Institute and every summer though our intensive SummerDance program. Through all its classes and programs The Vanaver Caravan promotes a community atmosphere among its students and faculty while fostering a deep love of dance and self-expression.

Year round Institute classes are conducted in Stone Ridge New York, and taught by members of our professional dance company as well as other local teachers and guest teachers from New York City. Classes emphasize free expression and provide a noncompetitive and supportive atmosphere for children to explore dance.

SummerDance

Monday - Fridays July 21 - Augsut 7

For the past 16 years The Vanaver Caravan has hosted a three week program which exposes students to a wide variety of dance and performance styles that will expand their perceptions and vocabulary in the world of dance. Classes are for all levels, and include modern, ballet, West African, rhythm tap, hip-hop, break-dancing, choreography, percussive, Irish step, Capoeira, contact improvisation, Character dance, theatre, and much more. Classes and performances are held at Stone Mountain Farm in Tillson, New York's historic mid-Hudson Valley in both indoor and outdoor studios.

And Introducing:SummerDance On Tour

August 8 - 14

This NEW week revolves around performancing throughout the Hudson Valley.  It is for dancers who have participated in all three weeks of SummerDance and who want this special opportunity to hone performance skills and to dance at local venues and historic sites.  SummerDance on Tour participants will also attend special dance concerts during the week.

Caravan Kid Week
